British solo-independent artist Jack Light has been rapping since the age of 12. His 1st track was played by Mary Anne Hobbs on Radio 1, which lead to NME saying 'if this is what he is doing when he is 12, Jack Light is the future of UK Hip Hop'.
By 16, Jack caused a stir in 2011 when his first official video 'The Arrival' was released on Channel AKA. Followed by his tracks ‘Underground’ which featured MC Spyda from the massive track, 'Tarantula' by Pendulum.
He is also finding himself being authenticated on the underground scene with guest slots on Kool London, and ITCH FM as well as having his music played on Rinse FM, BBC Introducing and Reprezent Radio.
Jack has performed at iconic UK venues such as Indigo 02, 02 Islington, Ministry of Sound, The Garage and supported ‘Alabama 3’ at The Kentish Town Forum,
His natural talent has been championed American rap star Asher Roth who made Jack’s remix of ‘Pass That Dutch’ official. As well as bringing Jack on stage to perform with him at The Garage.
Jack has a countless catalogue of releases from EP’s, mixtapes and singles including his project ‘Demons EP’ on his own label WooBoom. As well as having releases on Showtek’s label ‘Skink’.
